About WonderMacro

WonderMacro began with a simple fascination: the realization that entire worlds exist beneath our feet, hidden in plain sight. A flower no larger than a coin, a drop of morning dew, the eyes of a tiny insect—details most people never notice become landscapes when viewed through a macro lens.

By profession I work in information technology, a world built on logic, structure, and solving problems. Macro photography became the perfect counterbalance. It allows me to step away from screens, slow down, and reconnect with the natural world while still applying the same patience, observation, and attention to detail that technology has taught me.

I am also colorblind. While that may seem like a disadvantage in photography, it has shaped the way I see. Instead of chasing colors, I find myself drawn to textures, patterns, light, contrast, symmetry, and form. Macro photography taught me that beauty is not only found in color—it exists in structure, detail, and the stories hidden within the smallest subjects.

Many evenings, after a long day of work, I cannot wait to pick up my camera and head outside. Sometimes I spend hours searching for a single subject. Other times I discover an entire universe within a few square feet of garden or forest. The excitement never fades because every outing offers the possibility of seeing something I have never seen before.

WonderMacro is simply a collection of those discoveries. A personal gallery dedicated to the remarkable beauty of the small world around us, and an invitation to slow down, look closer, and appreciate details that often go unnoticed.
